What is Diálogo de Saberes?

"Diálogo de Saberes" is a distance training program that seeks, through participatory diagnoses, to share knowledge with the indigenous communities of Puebla that trigger the development of local productive enterprises.

Faced with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and weather phenomena that have reduced the productive work of the indigenous populations in the Entity, "Diálogo de Saberes" training tools in context with the daily problems of these places.

On the one hand, we help groups located in highly marginalized areas to receive useful knowledge in their native language, such as the rights of indigenous peoples, health, physical well-being, the environment, the economy and society. On the other side, the communities share their knowledge with the city about traditional medicine and social justice.

In 2020, 125 people from Tseltal communities in the jungle area of Chiapas, mostly women, took part in this program with themes that helped improve their quality of life and development.

In 2021 our goal is Puebla! Together we can achieve that 450 families from Puebla replicate this model and be benefited with distance training in the microlearning podcast format, it means, audio lessons that will be taught by local promoters.

We take care that this knowledge is easily accessible to the communities, both in the technological part and in the language they speak (Totonaco, Mixtec, Otomí, N'giwa, Mazatec, Tepehua and / or Nahua).

To reach the goal, we need your help! With the funds raised we will achieve the approach to communities and translators, travel expenses and training for promoters, preparation and translation of scripts in Spanish and native language, recordings in Spanish and native language, post-production, virtual campus accommodation, accommodation on digital podcast platforms, podcast socialization to community groups and podcast transmission through local community radio. Each knowledge sheet has a cost of $ 180,000 (one hundred and eighty thousand mexican pesos).
