Learning can’t stop!
If Miguel stops receiving his special education and therapies, he wouldn’t be able to take his first steps; Alejandra, wouldn’t learn to write her name; Luis will stop his educational inclusion and Veronica won´t fulfill her dream of working and contributing to her family.
With the emergency we are living, caused by pandemic COVID-19, the Neurological Institute of Guatemala has suspended all face to face activities, protecting the health and safety of its students, families, educators and therapists. Today, our facilities are empty, educational, therapy and sports spaces are without those sounds of footsteps, laughter and cheers of gol!
The dreams and goals that each of our students want to achieve cannot be stopped. This situation led us to innovate and change the implementation of special education and therapies to continue supporting our kids and their families, reaching their homes through virtual tools; knowing that they will make an effort to achieve an internet connection, download a document to continue with school progress and locate a space in their reduced houses to do their therapies.
Our commitment is to continue supporting students and their families, however, due to the suspension of fundraising activities during this crisis, the lack of financial funds could jeopardize the continuity of our services.
Our Children’s learning and development should go on to achieve their inclusion! You can be the engine to go forward, today more than ever we count on you!
Miguel will take his first steps; Alejandra
will write her name for the first time and smile; Luis will continue to second
grade and Veronica will be able to support her family with a new job. With your
contribution and our commitment, we trust they will achieve their dreams and

More of us
We are a private non-profit organization that since 1961 provides special education and support services to low-income children and youth with intellectual disabilities and autism.
100% of our students have the support of our sponsor program APADRINA, which through a monthly donation they receive the special education and support they need. To finance ourselves, we carry out different fundraising activities throughout the year, aimed at diverse audiences.
