Healthy eating is crucial for the learning of the 111 children of the Nuestra Sagrada Familia Center! Our cooks, Hilda and Nancy have been preparing 4 daily meals with a great love for the 111 children of our Center. But after such a long time, can you imagine what state the utensils are in? Pots, pans, plates, cutlery and all utensils are badly damaged, making it difficult to prepare children’s food, as it should.
Analía is one of the girls who attend Nuestra Sagrada Familia every day. When she entered, at age 2, she suffered from malnutrition. She was pale, with little hair and very discouraged. After a year of being in the Center, her nutritional status improved markedly; today she is 4 years old and has already achieved normal growth and nutrition standards. She is an active girl who enjoys all the activities carried out at the Center.
Can you help us so Nancy and Hilda can continue to prepare nutritious food for Analía and her other partners?
We have the menus, the ingredients, and all the layout. Now, with YOUR SUPPORT, we can count on the necessary equipment and utensils to retrofit our kitchen. Specifically, we need 3 50-liter stainless steel pots, 3 15-inch non-stick pans, a complete set of kitchen utensils, 120 plates with divisions and melamine cups, 120 sets of stainless steel cutlery, 4 aprons and 12 cleaning towels.
What will we achieve TOGETHER?
With your support, we can continue to provide good nutrition for the children of the Center. Although in Guatemala, one in two children suffers from chronic malnutrition, our goal is to ensure that 100% of our children have a healthy diet as a basis not only for their physical development but for them to have an optimal capacity to learn, to communicate, to think and socialize.
In addition, having new quality utensils in our kitchen represents greater efficiency in the processes of preparing meals, saving energy, as well as guaranteeing better quality standards.
JOIN AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Put your hand to the pot and feed the future of Guatemala!
