With your invaluable donation we will contribute to a create a safer environment for our Mexican girls.
In Sonora 6.1% of teenage girls from the age of 15 have experienced at least one incident of emotional, physical, sexual or financial violence. Having a training in mediation, girls and teenage girls of Sonora Mexico will contribute to create peaceful social relationships in their lives.
Working together we will train empowered girls and teenage girls as mediators, developing social skills that will help them in their lives, such as knowing how to fix a problem by themselves, straightening of their autonomy and values, as well as a development and grow of their self-esteem and security, giving them solid ground for emotional management and building healthy relationships by knowing how to work with boundaries, having the skills to take responsibility of their own choices.
Your kind help can start from $50.00 pesos ($5 dlls) and go up to $500 pesos (50 dlls), from here we will train 100 girls and teenage girls in our peer mediation program, which consists in 8 sesions, where our girls will have a psychological process, and will learn to identify risk features in their society and family, as well as using their social skills in their development.
We are a non-governmental organization, CECOV, established in 1987, we have 32 years of experience in prevention, detection and attention in all types of violence, CECOV also offers free psychological, neurological and psychiatric services. Our mission is to contribute in lowering Violence in all of its forms by preventing them with our health, psychological and educative projects as well with our psychiatrist, neurology, psychological and legal team, who have a human approach all in hopes of creating social, familiar and individual wellness.
